This adorable arts & crafts sewing kit compels kids to drop their electronic games and learn the timeless craft of hand-sewing and creative play. A wonderful shared craft activity for children, siblings and friends. Each project offers hours of unsupervised, artful fun for girls and boys ages 7 to 12 years old.
All sewing accessories and pre-cut felt pieces come in a cute portable carry case. Easy to follow instructions come with the 5 projects.
My kids are 5 (almost 6) and 7 and they both spent hours making these on the day after delivered. They loved it, and it comes with everything they need to learn the basics of sewing. It’s a great skill to have, and this makes it fun.
My 9 year old little boy just adored this sewing kit! He just started sewing this summer and these patterns are just so easy to follow. The holes are pre-cut in the material so it is very very easy for a child to follow along and sew with. Will be ordering other CraftLab kits soon for him.
This is great for the kids during COVID times to teach some patience and traditional sewing skills! Love it. Kids really enjoyed it - boys and girls!
This kit is the COMPLETE shebang!!! My 9yo son wanted to do some sewing crafts and this is PERFECT!!! Not girly, at his age level, and adorable. We did the craft together, as he is learning. However, a child that is beginning would enjoy this on their own. There are several crafts, so he might be able to complete the last ones on his own. The kit had everything that we needed, even the glue! I didn't have to dig for anything out of my sewing box to assist, or run to the store for some little piece. He has his own case with the needles, thread, pins, scissors, etc. As an amateur sewer, I think it's good for him to learn some of the basics (like threading the needle w/a threader and how to use the tools). The craft is complete and thorough without being overwhelming. PERFECT!
I bought this kit for my daughter (who is 6 years old) for Christmas. She has already finished the bear and is making the fox now. It does take her some time to finish the projects, but she is learning a lot about sewing and already wants to get another kit when this is done. She loves the process of doing it and how successful she can be. The material used is felt -- easier to work with than fabric. And the holes are pre-punched (and easily line up). There are small pieces that need to be pinned and then sewed on -- but there are even holes for those to make the process more successful.
